My computer does not recognize me as an admin. and I lost all my files? When I turn it on it does not have me as an admin., if I put in my user id and password it says it is incorrect? I also get a Internet explorer error saying script error-an error has occurred in the script on this page? It will not go away. I cannot open user accounts and I cant restore my system? There is also a dell support box that will not go away? I think my daughter done something to it when it was starting up, something with the f-8 button? My wife's account has the same thing going on.If I do get this fixed how do I restore it to where it was & How do I get all my files(pics, vids and some music) back?

Ask your daughter if she deleted anything. F8 won't result in this issue. On the internet? Then suspect virus's/spyware/malware. Do you remember the administrator password? At the welcome screen do control-alt-delete [sometimes a couple of times] and you will get a logon box. Put administrator and password in for access. If all accounts are hosed you need to do a repair reinstall. This is not a new install ie. wipe out your data but a repair of the OS which leaves your data intact. Note: no matter how you get in, you most likely will need to 'take ownership'of the files and folders for your access or you will get access denied errors. Knowing the correct answer and giving a correct answer, are two different things
