system clock running fast

Specs: Windows XP
Hi, my system clock is running fast. I did the fix I saw on an old post and it worked for one day. Pogo ran fine, the clock ran fine. When I got up this morning it was back to where it was. Pogo running fast as well as the clock. I re installed the fix, but it didn't help this time. Is there something else I can do to get this running as it should? Thanks

yes restart the computer and load your bios settings it is esc,
F2,F3 or F10 to enter the bios then once in the bios change the and click apply changes then save changes and restart then your done if that dose not work which it should load cmd by click start > Run > CMD once in cmd type time and then enter then input the new time and enter then exit to exit the command line yes the time has changed to what you said

Hi thanks for the quick reply. First let me tell you I am a 60 year old computer moron. I hit those keys and the only thing I got was a search pane. I didn't even know I had bios. If I can find it what do I change it to? I'm sorry I'm so ignorant about all this, and trying to help me will give you sainthood if nothing else. Where else might I find this bios thing? Thanks, Pam

OK. Does it keep proper time when not playing POGO games?

How many minutes/hour does it gain when it's screwing up?

I just played the game Golf Solitaire for 20 minutes. When I checked the clock it was 7 mins and 45 seconds fast. When the game says my time is up, the other people in the room say their timer says they have 15 seconds left. Then it will say you have so many seconds before the next game starts. When my timer says 0 it's still like another 10 seconds before the game really starts. This morning I had to ping it, but it wasn't that fast, only like 2+ minutes. Runs faster in the games. Just don't understand why that fix worked for one night and then quit. Pogo says it's an applet error, whatever that is, and that fix should do it. Thanks

Ok, I got up this morning and checked the cllock before going to pogo. The clock had the correct time, so I am assuming it run fast only while on pogo. Thanks
