my brother messed around with my computer and now it wont even work. it goes to setup and no further. black screen says windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: system32drivers\pci.sys.????
i dont know anything about computers and i'm having alot of trouble trying to figure this out. could this be caused from something being removed from my computer? is there something i can download and copy to a cd from another computer to try to fix it? please help. i have a HP vectra

FWIW to XP users: When you click on the 'Command Prompt' you are just causing the 'Command prompt' to be displayed. This prompt gives you access to NTVDM.EXE, the 'NT Virtual DOS Manager'.
