Comment:

When I startup, the windows "system 32" folder opens automatically and stays open until I close it. When I access the internet via ie 6, a window opens with the following: "c:/windows/system32/trbdje.exe" There is a single "OK" button at the bottom. I simply cancel out of the window-too scared to hit ok. Also, when shutting down, I always get prompted to end "WMS Idle" or wait for it to end. How can I straighten this out? I ran chkdsk--no effect.

about the system 32 thing...

it maybe spyware...i ran spybot (download at security.kolla.de) after updating it...this is new spyware so you should update spybot...and do the search and destroy...worked for me......also do a virus scan...you may have infected files

and i got the wms idle problem too....did a search and something came up about OUTLOOK, but i don't know if it's that...although i am missing one of its processes (mapisp32.exe) on my task manager.

oops...i did a system restore and it seems that for me at least, the wms idle appeared only after i disables the system 32 folder from popping up on the startup list (Run...msconfig), so as of now it's either one or the other....i need help

i got that program "hijack this" and deleted these two files in system 32 (xtrfsq.exe and kajidl.exe). They didn't seem essential since the creation dates for them were very recent. The program also allowed me to deleted these host web addresses that were drug-related. So now the WMS-Idle doesn't come up anymore! Yes!

Same problem with WMS Idle and System32 on startup. Anybody found any solutions? This only came up after I've been running lots of spyware and adware removal programs.

WMS idle seems to be related with outlook. Sometimes, in the firm where i work, it prevent us from receiving e-mails in outlook, and even doesn't allow us to open normal files (word excel). We have to restart the computer. It's a big problem, and definitely linked with outlook

Has anyone been able to resolve the WMS Idle problem. When I open Outlook 2000, I cannot send/recevie messages and it slows down my PC and when I shut down because the PC is ridiculously slow, I get the blessed error of WMS Idle and I click End Now and re-boot. Does anyone know how to get out of this and get Outlook back to normal?

I'd appreciate the help!

Thanks!!!!

Use ad-aware with the current updates to get rid of the wms idle error. I did this to fix my WMS Idle prorblem. Also, try Spybot with the current updates.

Consering the system32 error, I had edited 2 different reg keys. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Make sure the values are empty or clean. Please make a copy of these keys before editing. If you happen to edit the wrong key, you may be in trouble without a backup. Now, after I did this I restarted and System 32 did not open, but after a day or two and sometimes a few hours. The System 32 folder would open up. So I repeated the same steps. It seems as though certain spyware is mapped to this folder which is causing this. Apperently, if you are running XP, the release fo SP2 for XP is suppose to fix this. Let's cross our fingers. Hopefully this helps.
