Im trying to install windows xp pro in my friend system. When its try to install popups shows up said :
ERROR
SYS.DLL " Syntax error in manifest or policy file "D:\I386\DGIPLUS\GDIPLUS.MAN" on line 4
Fatal Error
One of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.
A component's file does not match the verification information present in the component manifest.
I have try install 2 types hard drive maxtor SATA 120GB and ATA 10GB. How can i solve this problem?

googling for "SYS.DLL Syntax error in manifest or policy file" reveals people with same problems and referring back to the cd - try copying the cd to the harddrive and installing from their !
