I have played the game "Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion" on and off on this computer since the game came out. I bought a RADEON 9600 Series video card for it back in '06. It has worked fine with no problems until now. I recently reinstalled the game and everytime I look out into the world, my entire computer crashes and I get the infamous "sysdata.xml minidump" garbage when the computer reloads. I've searched for everything on google and I've tried a lot of things but nothing seems to be working. I was thinking since most posts about it were from 2002-2005, the problem would have a solution by now. Anyone help me out?

Found this from a similar post about this error:

- boot up in safe mode
- delete the folder "WER1.tmp.dir00" of all the user on your computer
- delete all in c:\windows\minidump\
- go to the DOS prompt and write "chkdsk /f" it will probably ask for doing the scan on the next bootup, select "yes"
- then reboot
it solve the problem for me (for now...)
