I have just bought a new laptop, and i want to keep certain files and folders sync'd between it and my desktop, things like my outlook emails and music folders etc. Anyone know of any software that will allow this to happen, pref free??
I noticed there is a Synchronize icon in the Accessories folder of the Start Menu.

I use this program two keep a backup/synchronization of my documents folder to second hard drive. Has scheduling(I set mine to do it every night so things are cool), it only makes changes when things have changed(duh:)). Works good , website says it can work for syncing from laptop to desktop.
Scroll down to where it says SyncBack Freeware V3.2.8.500 for the freeware version.

Do a search for syncToy from MicroSoft. It's FREE and works great. You can sync one file or many. And you don't have to be more than a moron to set it up. Good Luck. Bill
