I have a small network consists of one server and 50 clients everything’s work in proper way. Two of my clients have a shared folder, each 20 GB size. Folder name My Received Files. All downloaded files from the net will be saved in those folders.
Now, how can I auto synchronized those shared folder. Who ever files stored on client 1 shared folder is auto saved on client 2 shared folders?

the usual one is to have the share on the server and let these two people access them.

but there is a thing called breifcase thats a directory that can be made to syncronise between two computers. how the hell it works is a mystery. also think about network trafic. is it better to have it on a server than have this syncronising? if you can syncronise them think about doing it after hours if the computers are left on.

Obviously, I already have a shared folder on the server. Certain users are allowed to store/view/edit data on the shared folder.
But, these two client mention above are maintained by a different users. They are always storing the incoming data/files from the net or what ever a source on the specific folder, and it should be active for both of them when retrieving the data.
My concern is to keep those folders synchronized all the time when both clients on.
I have no worry about the network traffic. I have a secure data in flight in the VPN.
Please, if anyone one has this knowledge; I would request him/her to help

create a shared folder on your server or i think its a network drive. run round these clients and put all the data thats in the clients folder into the share that youve set up on the server. next set there recived files to point at the folder on the server. youll find this is the windows profile settings. im afraid im not quite up to speed on this as ive been using unix for a we while so youll have to hunt for the instrucions on the web think its a registry hack. or the other way is pointing there browser to download files to the share instead of my recived folder.

if you do it any other way you by having two directorys with the same data its very fragile and would get out of sync quiet easily say a faulty network conection or one client not being switched on for a day. also if your syncronising them which one is correct? say each share has a file and that files been monefied by both clients at the same time but with diffrent data. which one is the most up to date which one is to be copied for syncronisation. by using one physical share that cant happen as the file cant be accessed by two people at the same time.
