I've got a rather confusing problem on one of our laptops. I've just switched over from roaming profiles to folder redirection, so the machines have to sync. One machine doesn't do this, it has a "offline changes not synchronized" icon.

Clicking on this and clicking OK does nothing. Going to Tools and Synchronize does nothing. However, going to Programs - Accessories - Synchronize works.

The laptop is only six weeks old, but it's one of only a couple of Toshibas we have, and they're the only laptops with Atheros wireless cards (if this makes any difference).

Has anyone had a similar issue, or know of a solution? It's confusing the heck out of me. Initially it was having 1054 cannot find domain controller errors, but I've sorted that out. Nothing untoward in the error logs apart from "could not unload registry" warnings every logoff. Help!

"could not unload registry" you say? Help from UPHClean. If nothing else, it'll tell you what program isn't behaving.

Thanks Razor, I'll give it a try. However, that error appears on most - if not all - of our machines, and they all synchronize fine.

Found out what the issue was - for some strange reason the "mobsync" item was not in the startup section of the registry.
