symantec uninstall problem

I have recently removed Symantec Internet security from XP PC which was @ SP3 using the removal Tool. I now have a problem which I can not fix some of my IE7 web pages like Hotmail and windows Update just say Done bottom left and the rest of page is blank. Other pages like Google work fine. I have also used Regcure to see if there where any reg problem and it did fix a few. Has any one got any idea.

Try two things. Open IE, go to tools, internet options, security. Click on default level. If that doesn't help, try tools, reset web settings.

I would get rid of SP3 and not Symantec. See this article
