Ok, I bought a cable that allows me to use my PC with the TV. I inserted my 2 wires in the back of my PC and the scart in the back of my TV. I go to EXT-1 and the sound is working but the picture isn't coming on... what is the problem, please?

OS: Windows XP SP3
Graphics Card: NVIDEA GeForce FX 5200

All it says on the box is;

'PC AUDIO/ VIDEO

Scart Connector to jack plug and S-Video'

Thank you.

If the cable is the correct one and you have everything connected properly then you need to open the Nvidia console and change the output settings to TV if the signals are to be used only on the tv and if dual screen capabilities are allowed with that particular graphics card then you will need to set it to monitor on one and tv on the other....

If that card does not truely support TV as an output then the resolution settings are way to high for the TV to view them...TV is way down low on the resolution chain!

Thanks, that helped alot. The picture is working fine now, just one problem with it... the picture is black and white.

Another problem is that I can't open the NVIDIA Control Panel without getting this error message.

It should be the same signal that is sent to your monitor...if it shows color on the monitor then it has to be some setting on the TV or through the cable set up itself...

If the signal is weak you will lose color to the TV but still have a good b/w picture...

If you are trying to tie your computer in with a VHR/DVD recorder then it could be the recorders tuner that is causing the problem

Try just to the TV and see if it is color without any other audio/video connections within the system.
