Hi,

Recently I have been experiancing huge slowdowns on my computer that appear seemingly randomnly and cause my computer to completely freeze.

When I opened task manager to find out what's causing the slowdown I found out that it is a windows program called svchost.exe, and it is constantly using up 98-100% CPU.
When I select "end process"two new processes appear called hotkeyapp.exe and lsass.exe which between them now use up 100% CPU causing the slowdown to continue. At this point the only way I can get my computer to work normally is by ending hotkeyapp.exe, which is a program I need to run my internet router.

Does anyone know what is causing svchost.exe to use this much power, and what I can do to stop it?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Run antivirus programs to determine if you have any virus.
This is from sass.exe - lsass - Process Information

Note: lsass.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

I've completed a virus scan and nothing has been found.
Any ideas about what I should do next?

Cheers
