Every time I do something in internet explorer my process of svchost.exe NETWORK SERVICE goes up to around 97% and hangs there for a bit causing everything to bog down until it drops off. Also there are 2 entries of this process. I am connected directly to my dsl modem. I have searched here, google and wikepedia and have found no explaination for this. Any ideas? Bluejay

Sure, I had 5 of those Svchost CRAP. I have eliminated one by doing -- * Start | Run (type) "services.msc" (no quotes) * Scroll down to "DNS Client", Right-click and select: Properties * Click the drop-down arrow for "Startup type" * Select: Manual, click Apply/Ok and restart. Download SIW.exe. Select running processes in SIW and click on any one of them. The window in the bottom half of the screen will give you more detail about that process. Helps to identify those Svhost processes. http://www.download25.com/install/s...
