Hi people, I just got this SupraMax 2920 USB modem, and i like to know if anyone has an countered this problem on Xp system.

1). When modem is in use it uses 95% CPU usage.

This problem causes everything on my computer to run so slow.
I got a reply from Diamond and of course you know how it is with Tech support, thier so stupid.

Any way they gave me the site to get the new drivers:

supramax-usb-v92_winxp_172056

Still the same problem, I like to know if someone had the same problem, and if so and has fixed it to let me know.

My computer is a Compaq Presiero 5000US

I believe the problem could be the modem is polling to much, because it does have a modem ON HOLD feature.
I searched all over the net for this problem and had no luck, seems the only thing i found that was close to this was a scanner that kept polling for button presses, therefore using to much CPU usage.

I assume i might be the only one with this problem, but heck, i am giving a try to this Forum.
TIA
B.M
