I downloaded and installed Sun Java, but in the advanced section it doesn't have the option to check or uncheck the JIT Compiler.
In the example it shows it should be there. This is the advanced section when I click on the Java Logo in control panel.

The Sun Java Plug-in will run on it's own when it detects a program needing it. No check is needed.
