My newly purchased used HP notebook seems to have a stuck delete key?? when i select the internet icon it asks me if I'm sure I want to put it in the recycle bin-- I have to indicate no several times until it goes away---what's the deal? please advise---thanks, Brouck

XP has the option to enable/disable StickyKeys. Pressing the SHIFT key 5 times turns on StckyKeys. StickyKeys let you use the SHIFT, CTRL, ALT and Windows Logo keys by pressing one key at a time. You can check if in your case StickyKeys is on by pressing SHIFT key 5 times. If it is, click cancel to disable. Sure, it could be something else, but this is the easiest way to find out. Peter

Summary: Turn off computer and pull plug. Turn over keyboard and shake the crumms out of it. Could be a stuck key? I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut....
