First of all I'm a complete noob on wireless networking so I'm sorry if I sound thick as treacle.
I have bought a Freecom wireless network mediaplayer 350 WLAN 500GB and would like to stream video's to my TV in another room, I bought a Belkin wireless network card which I have installed using the manufacturers instructions by the letter but when I click on the network cards config Icon I get no available connections in the list even though the freecom is powered up... all I want to do with the card is stream to the freecom connected to the TV, I don't need it for anything else like connecting multiple pc's together so surely it shouldn't be too complicated..?
could someone guide me in the right direction in monkey speech how I can get the two devices speaking to each other.
Thanks, Mark Hobster.

I think that a wireless router is still needed to connect through that box...from what I read, it is really a waste of money(not to let you down) but you might have to still purchase their other software and program the thing for direct hook up and then it doesn't work as advertised!
three pages of an article on it!

Hi Mark, I have to agree with lurks here if you don't have a router you should get the one for this type of device. Now if it's your software, you might want to check into that as well.
Try http://www.update.microsoft.com allow it to scan your computer to check for updates. If it thinks your mediaplayer 350 WLAN needs updating it will show in the software section.
I hope any of this helps.

Thanks mates, after reading the review of the freecom I think I'll give the streaming Idea a miss, a big thing I was going to do in the near future was to stream other formats aswell as divx and vob but the review was saying anything over 720px vob was glitchy, I'm not going to part with anymore cash for a substandard stream when I can just plug it into my pc and copy the files to it... I'm just guttered I spent £40 on a wireless network card that's no use now :-)
I'll try to blag pc world into giving my money back!?
