Hello,

When trying to view / hear streaming video / audio in a website, WMP apears to connect to the media, but will not play it. It says "opening media" then just says "Ready" no matter how many times I click Play. WMP works perfect if I'm just playing a video or audio file that is saved on my computer, but over the net it doesn't seem to want to work. I'm using IE6 and WMP 10. I've had this problem for a few months consistently.

Not sure if this will help, but here is an example of a situation where WMP wont play the media: http://img108.imageshack.us/img108/5629/wmpst3.jpg

any suggestions?

Thanks,
Eric

Well, I was able to fix this one on my own. I downloaded windows media player 10 from microsoft.com and reinstalled it on my machine. I had already tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it in add/remove programs, but I guess that's not the same as downloading the whole program and reinstalling it. Anyway, it works like a champ now.
