Hi,

For some reason, I cannot get the streaming video to work. I have two examples of this...

First, if I try to open an AVI file, it tries to play it in the IE 6.0 media player. It always says "Connecting", but it never runs.

Second, I try to play streaming video (such as news videos on Yahoo), and those never load either.

I've tried to tell IE6 to play AVI's in Media Player, but so far, no good. as far as playing streaming video on Yahoo, I've tried to repair IE6, downloaded update and the WinXP SP1 update. Still doesn't work.

Any ideas? Thanks,

John O

I had the exact same problem and could never figure out what the problem was. I brought it to a computer shop and they didn't even know. To make a long story short, I re-formatted my computer and started from scratch and everything worked. Sorry i couldn't be of much help, just wanted to share my frustating experience.
