I am trying to help a gentlemen who is a resident at the local veterans home. He says he used to listen to a radio station via the internet. His computer was taken out to have a number of viruses removed. His internet connection is dial-up and works fine. The speakers are fine, and I can play music using windows media player if it's on his hard drive.

When I access the station website and click on the play button, a get a second window that indicates the music is playing, but there is no sound.

I can play the station just fine on my computer.

Anything you can suggest will be appreciated. He's an elderly veteran, and this was one of his few enjoyments.

Try and update the drivers. Also i know this is a bit silly but the player on his computer does it have its own personal volume control? That may possibly be turned down.
