Does the pop-up say that the Remote Procedure Call service has stopped unexpectedly?

You probably have a virus.

Try this.

A simple fix. Don't go to that web site any more.

Or is the error indicating a problem with lsass.exe? If so, it's probably a virus like Roy said. Sasser is my guess. What anti-virus program are you running?

Is it restarting really after 60 seconds?I think it can't(if you are not opening any file from web).Try to install popup blocking software if your browser hasn't and always keep in mind`don't respond every windows that appears,in some of them you can see a button with text "scan for viruses" or something like
"your computer is infected, allow me to scan it for free",don't respond messages like this, this is only text, and it can't do anything, only send you to site with viruses, malware and hacks.
Don't worry man about that "s---",even if it appears in your desktop and says "your computer is infected with the virus and you can't do anything".

It's a virus, and as said, probably sasser. Get removal info from whatever AV program you're using. If I had more time I'd do it for you. Do a Google search.

Also find out why your AV program isn't doing its job.

correct, it's sasser (or any of it's plenty variants). get STINGER and/or avg free edition to get rid of it (run it in safe mode to bypass the file protection).

and here's a hint to stop your PC from shutting down ... you have 60 sec to do the following:

start > run ... type 'shutdown -a' (a as in abort, it will abort the shutdown) and confirm

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'
