Hey everybody,
I just got optimum online today (cable internet) and right after it was installed and operational, I keep getting these pop ups that say "messenger service" on the top bar and the pop up says something to the effect of
System to alert. computer not safe go to broadcastblocker.com or something like that.
I was thinking that this is from msn messenger but I checkd my pc and I don't think I have it (actually i think i uninstalled it from my pc when i got the pc) unless it's hidden somewhere.
I also checked msconfig for foul play but nothing seems strange. I have pop up stopper, norton 2002 systemworks and firewall. But this is made to look like a pop up from windows (i highly doubt it IS just made to look that way) Any ideas?

most annoying little pop-ups! Kill em dead with ease with a little program that is free! and easy to install and use. It's called Emerald Pop Stop and you should find it for download from alot of sites just use google to search for it. It will stop all pop ups and is easily configurable and easy to close if you want the annoying pop-ups back. Cheers
