Need help Quickly... I have a Windows XP operating System. Celeron 1.2ghz SOYO mother board with 300v CPU and 512 mb SDRAM, HDD 80 gb and CD. What seems to be the problem is My Pc is giving strange noises, what i realized it probably comes from my RAM :( I have 256 mb that (beeped) and apperantly stoped responding. When I turn on my pc windows loads and after working for some time with a higher cpu usage it freezes and showes a blue screen with a memmory dump error. I have 512 mb now that I just bought and the same problem goes on... i don't want to loose my 512mb and if any one suffered from the problem like me please HELP... Maybe I'll help you in any way...
THX!!

I had similar noises...You might try to swap out your hard drive to see if that's the source. If it is...there are programs available to check the hardrive. I use Western Digitals Data Lifeguard Tool. http://www.wdc.com/en/
Check online with your hard drive manufacturer for support. I hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
EmilyP.S.We have 7 computers in our household...I've worked with hardware since the 1970's. I've never heard a peep from any stick of memory...error messages and failures yes, but no sounds.

Here is a source for "beep codes":

Possibly a CPU temperature problem. Check/clean your cooling fans. Check out a program called MBM5 I think it's from Lavasoft. Find it with Google. Check your temperatures and if the CPU is getting to 60+ degC then that may be your problem. The CPU is most likely rated above these temps but not good to continuously run that high.

when you get the blue screen of death, there should be a stop code that comes up on the blue screen. Write that down and then do a google search. Microsoft has a list of potential problems related to stop codes and usually that comes up when you search for it in google with the stop code. It will tell you why you got the blue screen in the first place.

I tried the memory test. It didn't show any errors I took my ram to another computer and it worked. So ram is not my problem. I searched in different forums and some people had similar problems like me. One of the solutions was to delete the account where the error shows up and create new one. I did it and as for now everything works. "Conclusion"- Some of the accounts' settings had an error developed by some of my softwares" At least I'm glad it's working for now :)
THxz 4 HeLp everyone...~YaKoTaKy~
