Hi.
After starting computer and opening any application windows explorer behaving strange. When I delete or rename a file or folder I can see results of that only after manually refreshing the folder. Otherwise file or folder keeps the old name, and if I was deleting it file is still there and only after manually refreshing the folder it disappears.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Defrag the unit and see if your computer is too full.

A unit should have around 25% free space to work well.

Run an Error Check on the disk from the C:\ properties.

Run - sfc /scannow - at the RUN slot. You will need the XP CD, so have it handy.

The behavior described by az0000000 is normal for XP and even earlier versions of Windows and cannot be fixed by reinstallation or degragging the drive!
