Something very strange happened to my winxp!
Since I turned my pc on this morning after having it shut down last friday for the weekend, the colors on my desktop have appeared really strange. It's hard to describe, but it's like a rainbow and my iexplorer is green. When it goes to the desktop after I log on, at first it's normal, then it "turns" these rainbow colors on! (like sth it loads into system tray) Any ideas? Thx!

Did you move anything near your monitor that could cause electromagnetic fields: Stereo speakers? Desk fans? Magnets?
There should be a control on your monitor that let's you degauss. (There should be a button on the montitor that brings up controls for brightness, contrast, degauss, etc.)
Give that a shot and post back what happens.

Thanks for your help, but that's not it.
I didn't touch anything near on on my computer over the weekend.(Nobody could!)
I tried to degauss it, didn't help. When Windows start, it works fine (normal windoes colors) until it's done loading things into the system tray, then it starts.

A couple of things to try:-
Check the cable, sometimes if the cable is a little bit loose the colour's can change, if you move the cable around a bit and the colours change here's your problem,
Try updating the driver for your graphics card,
If neither of these work let us know and we'll try to come up with some other options

It can't be the cable. As I said it looks like it's caused by something that windows loads at startup, because it always work for about 5 seconds. (until the hourglass is gone!)
I have the lastest nvidia driver for my ti4400 and it worked last week.Once again, it appeared from one day to the other without touching anything!
Thanks
