I have been storing file data, pictures and songs on CD's for quite a while and then retrieving it when I need it,however I don't seem to be able to store the same type of information on a dvd and retrieve it later. Can some one please tell me why this is so difficult. I use a Liteon 1673 dvd recorder,Phillips DVD+R disks, and I have tried to save the same type of information using both Nero and HT-Fireman cd and dvd burners.I follow the instructions of borh programs, and the files seem to copy to the DVD+R ok. The programs say that the files were copied ok, but then when I later go back and try to read what I have copied, the Liteon 1673s won't recognise the disk. If I physically look at the disk, it looks like it has been recorded on.When I put the disk in the dvd recorder, the light comes on green for a while then goes out . It comes back on and blinks several times and that is it. nothing shows on my monitor.I've not read any procedure that tells me to do this operation otherwise. If someone can tell me what I an doing wrong I will greatly appreciate it.Thanks
