Help iam try to fix it .....remembering the last key. stopping Regedit from remembering the last key and instead opens regedit at the top "My Computer" folder..like widows98

open regedit
find the value "lastkey". go to the left pane, right-click on the key that contains lastkey. click on permissions. select your account (or the group you belong to), and click deny full control. (actually, not sure if it should be you or system...i did it to all of the accounts). anyway, once you do that, your future regedit sessions won't be able to access lastkey (since you denied access), and will thus be forced to start at the top
