stop c0000135 unable to locate...

Before my pc finishes its boot I get this message:
stop c0000135 {unable to locate component} refering to winsrv
I did installed another installation of winxp pro and check the registry as indicated in other sources and it seems to be find and when I looked in the original installaions folders the file is there.
what else can I do to fix this.
I would run the rocovery console but it ask for the administrator password and I don't remember puting one in but it doesn't accept me pressing enter only and I tried my other passwords on it but it doesn't work.

boot from the xp cd and go for a new install but select the partition where your current version resides. this will then repair the problem. dont use the recovery console use the repair option!

The repair will only remove the XP updates. You will have to reinstall them Immediately before going to the internet to avoid the MSBLASTER worm.
