i get this error whenever i try to shutdown,it says its an error in kbdclass.sys.
anybody else got this problem and/or solved it?

hi..
Yeap.. just the same problem as mine.. after I check it in microsoft Website.. It just said something about incompability with your H/W .. and the solution.. find the rite driver.. as ussual.. microsoft provides nothing as the solution.. :)

well i had the problem when i put easy cd creator 4 & 5, bacause it had direct cd and xp will crash when Direct cd is installe so just uninstall it.

but i think now they have a patch at the web site

nah easy cd creator s--- doesnt have anything to do with this stupid xp makes an error in keyboard file when i try to shut down so it restarts instead

I get this same message, only in atapi.sys

This error happens when I am trying to install XP Home Upgrade. Even when I take out all hardware, and reformat drive and boot from CD. Any suggestions?

Had the same problem... after installing cd creator 5...
couldn't get around it. I had to format C: anr reinstall xp

I had the same problem when i uppgraded winnt4 to windows 2000 Profesional, i created another account and logged in on it. Then i logged out, and in on my own now it works. Win2k made some changes in the registry file and now it works ?!?

The windows xp profisionalo/s on my computer won't run the directcd program that my HP Cd-Writer 9500 series internal drive uses. Without this program, I can't make cds or save files onto a cd. Will someone please tell me how to get this program to work on windows xp or give me the name or a new program that will do this????? Thanks

had the same error come up, nothing worked, I even reformated HD and reloaded xp and that made it worst. Think it was a bad ram chip or vid card. no idea I just took the compaq (pretty-sorry-o) 5000 back and got a gateway (no probs yet)
