I posted a message a couple of days ago about problems with my wireless modem internet. I only got one response and it wasn't helpful. So I'm reposting again.

Here it is:

Hi, I have a wireless modem internet connection. My problem is that it stops working for a couple of minutes then it works again. The signal strength is strong. And it doesn't disconnect. It just stops downloading. Its on and off. I have a feeling its a setting.

Can someone help me fix this.

Have you tried using your laptop/pc without wireless.

You can connect your laptop/pc using ethernet cable directly rather then using wireless to locate the problem.

If it works then must be something wrong with wireless modem. In this case you can probably call your modem manufacturer and ask for help.

BTW was any settings changed?

No none of the settings has changed. Sorry I made a mistake there is no modem. It's like a USB stick that you plug into the USB port.

Another thing when I go to Control Panel then Network Connections it says my connection is a "Dial-up" connection. When in fact its a ADSL connection.

How do I fix it so it says its a ADSL connection?
Any ideas?
