Hi All,
My system can not shut down as normal but with error message...."explorer.exe is running" to end the explorer click ok, i have to click ok before the system could finally shutdown.
I believed is a serious problem leading to my internet explorer not working (the page cannot be displayed).
please help me out.
i have tried sfc /scannow, have reinstall explorer 6 sp1,netscape can run on the sys but i am used to explorer.
plz help.

Hi Folks, Since yesterday my internet explorer could not be opened, after every double click, the cursor looks busy and later released without opening the IE. No new program or application was install

Click Start -> Run, in there type "Inetcpl.cpl" (without the quotes) and click OK... Internet Properties should Open up... Go to the Advanced Tab and Uncheck "Enable Third Party Browser Extension (Requires Restart)"... Click Apply and then Click OK... And then restart the computer once and try opening Internet Explorer and see if it opens up properly... Also run scan on your system for Spywares using Adaware...

Waiting for your response,
Nick

explorer.exe is NOT Internet Explorer it is Windows Explorer - basically the windows desktop. You might have a driver or 3rd party program that is preventing windows from shutting down normally. Try updating your drivers first.

Oops !!! Sorry my Mistake... Guess i did not read it properly... I got confused because of the Signature used by Positives... Anyway, if what positives typed in the signature is also his problem then i guess the steps posted by me may help that part... Sorry for the confusion once again...

And Positives, one more question... is the message that you are getting "iexplorer.exe is running" or "explorer.exe is running"??? Cos if it is "iexplorer.exe" then your signature and your post both makes sense...
