Several months ago I stopped using Norton firewall because I was unable to get to the Internet when it was enabled. I have been using XP firewall. I recently formatted and reinstalled everything and was hoping to be able to use Norton's firewall again. Unfortunately, as soon as I turn it on, no Internet. I am using default settings, so I'm wondering if there is a conflict with XP. (I didn't have this problem with Win98.) BTW, I am not attempting to run XP and Norton firewalls at the same time.
Is there maybe something I should be diong in Security Center to correct this?

Morning! You should be able to get an update for older NIS´s than 2005 to work ok with sp2. And, if you don´t wanna buy an upgrade to NIS2005, sygate is a good firewall.
Jude, where has your previous thread vanished? And if deleted, then Why?

Misse,
Kevin deleted it because it was in the wrong forum. I was sorry to have missed going to the URL's that you posted -- they were gone by the time I got home. I believe that the one's posted here by capt in Response #3 are similar. I have downloaded Sygate and will try it out for a while.
Thanks
