Hi all,
I have searched the world over and still have never found the answer to this one. IE6 simply will not open FTP download links, I have to open up Netscape to use them. Anyone have a clue as to why? As I said I have looked off and on now for some time to no avail.

TIA,

Jimi_l

Try changing your advanced settings!

Right click on your internet explorer icon and go to properties then go to your advanced tab and make sure that 'enable folder view for ftp files is checked'

If that doesnt work get back to me

I have the same problem. I'm connecting to the Internet through a local network with my notebook computer. I cannot open ftp sites with any applications(IE,Opera,ftp.exe). On the other computers in the local network ftp work, but not on mine. Does anyone has an idea?
