I know that's sound stupid but my question is how to copy the contents of the CD to a directory on your compute? is really confusing what's that means "to a directory" i may not be a expert of this , but i'm not kidding i'm serious sir. If you do not know something it's doesn't hurt to ask. I hope you understand.

Open windows explorer.
Click on my comuter
Click on C: to open it up
Click on the cd drive to open

Click on the contents of cd drive and while holding down the left mouse button drag it to the directory of your choice on C:
Let up on left mouse button.

Once you open Windows explorer...then my computer..click one C: in the left hand pane. Now go up to file....select new folder. This will give you a dir called newfolder to practice drag and drop.

Don't copy the contents of the cd into any existing directories . Just use the new folder directory.

Understand if the cd is protected , not all files will copy over
