Hi,
That is indede how to get your status bar. However, close IE and open it again, and hey presto - its gone again. . . .
So, how do you PERMANENTLY get that status bar to show????
I would love to know. . . Just like changing the Computer name - change it, reboot and it is back to "My Computer" ! !

I've never had a problem with keeping the Status Bar permanent. Checked, it's visible; unchecked it's removed. Rebooting has never had an effect on it.

Windows Explorer/View/Status Bar. Then go to Tools/Folder Options/View/Apply to all folders.

Yes, and make sure you do a clean close of the browser, and a clean shutdown of the PC to make sure the settings changes are permanent.
