Hello guys,
This problem did not exist in Win2K but happened since I installed Windows XP Pro Original Retail version. There is static in Mp3 or any audio playback using any Mp3 player. My sound card is the Soundmax Integrated Digital Audio AD188X. My computer is a compaq. I installed the official Windows XP driver for it but the problem still exist. There is nothing wrong with my speakers. What is the problem here? Please help me.

Thank You Very Much.

same kind of problem here - different sound card, but similar issue. i figure it's because the driver isn't up to spec. look to see if your soundcard (motherboard) manufacturer has an XP-compatible driver.
