I deleted accounts and got rid of that welcome/login screen when the computer boots up only to have it replaced by a password prompt box. I never set a password so I just clicked ok and got to my desktop so the only problem is that I don't want that prompt there. I just want the computer to boot to the desktop without all the "pit stops". How can I turn this password prompt off?

Any help is appreciated.

Never mind people, I figured out that if you only have one account it boots straight to the desktop when not in classic mode. Thanks again anyway.

Well mine always has been in classic mode and it boots straight to the desktop. BTW I only have one account on this machine. You could overcome this problem if you have one of M$ powertoys called XP TweakUI.

Easy way is to click Start Run type in "control userpasswords2" without the quotes. Uncheck the box that reads "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer".
