Comment:

When I start windows it leads me to the usual "We apologize for the inconvenience" page and all three safe modes (Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt) freeze on the last line of code and Last Known Configuration and Start Windows Nomally both freeze up on the black screen.

I set up my BIOS to boot from disc and using the original XP disc it doesn't lead me to a set up screen but directly to Loading Windows which loads all of the components then gets stuck on the blue screen than says "Starting Windows."

I'm really at a loss on what to do here. I recently reformatted my OS because I was having USB problems (which seem to be hardware problems) and it was working fine at about 6:00 PM yesterday (12/26/08) but no longer is. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

When trying to boot from windows cd to reinstall or repair your windows, you have to press the enter key, when you're asked to boot from cd.

I would recommend to unplug all connected devices, you don't need right now and try again.

Are there any special drivers needed, e.g. SATA drivers, you have to install at the stage, where you have to press the F6 key to install spacial drivers from a manufacturer?
