I had a program fail during install and chose not to continue with the process...now everytime a reboot it comes up asking me to continue the process of installation... is there any way to clean this stuff out of where ever its at? There are no entries in add/install programs..and nothing I can discern in the start up folder..

Hi,
Have you tried to continue the install and then remove it from add and remove programs?
Whats the program? Have you tired doing a search for anything in your system with that name?

This one situation when "system restore" is a great thing to use. Do you have it, or did you turn it off? Use start>programs>accessories>system tools>restore and select a date before the failed installation. take care and all the best!

When you go back into windows, run a Disk Cleanup which can be found in Start > Program Files > Accessories > System Tools...run it and check all the boxes in the window that appears and press "OK" and then Click "Yes", reboot your machine and see if it works then.
If that doesn't work either go into C:\ and look for the program folder and delete it OR go into C:\ Windows and search for the folder in there and delete then run Disk Cleanup again, if neither of these work, e-mail me *take out the NOSPAM part*, or ask again, sorry if i haven't helped you.
Take care

A very easy way to get rid of the nag install is to go into msconfig.exe and go to the start up tab.
Find the file that is associated with the install untick it and all should be well.
