my computer all the sudden when I turn it on the screen HP Invent comes up shortly and then i get a black screen with AMERICAN MEGATRENDS comes up with a bunch of writing and then i hit F2 and it starts slowly. then while i am on the internet very shortly it shuts down and black screen with re boot and some other stuff comes up. i have to push the start button to start it again and when i have it on and want to shut down i have to push the start button to shut it off but shuts off immediatly doesn't wait for the 5 or 6 seconds it should to shut off that way.

sounds like a hardware issue most likely overheating.
if you put you hand behind the computer where the power supply fan is do you feel air moving when its on?
