start taskbar location problem

May 12, 2009 at 12:53:15
Specs: Windows XP
Start menu taskbar-blue strip running across the bottem of screen-has become verticle. It runs up/down right side of my screen. 'Right clicking' or 'help/support' can tell me many things to do to adjust the taskbar but not how to reset it back to horizontal. Help!. The verticle blue stip is annoying.

Try this: Left click on an empty spot in the vertical bar. Hold the left mouse button down and drag to the bottom of the screen and release.

Fallow the directions above and then right click the taskbar and choose "Lock the Taskbar"

Thank you all...could have swore I'd done the click and drag thing last night...
It worked and I'm a very happy camper-well as happy as one could be in the 100 degree desert.
