In my start menu there used to be a strip on the left that said Windows Xp. It isnt there anymore how do i get it back. I ran tweak ui for xp and it also got rid of my log off button. I nedd to get that back too. I tried lookking in tweak ui to see iff i could find a way to display the xp pro strip but there wanst an option. I am on classic start menu Also i would like to change the name of the owner of the computer as its second hand. For exaple under my computer properties it shows registered to gle. I want to change that to my name. Also under documents and settinge it shows gle. And also when i run command promt.
I am pretty much a novice so can the instructions be easy to followThanks

Start > Settings > Taskbar and Start Menu
Start Menu tab, Customize button
- checkbox "Display Log OFF"
- scroll down and UNcheck the box "Show Small Icons in Start menu"To change registered owner that appears in My Computer properties, see http://windowsxp.mvps.org/owner.htm (see the "this utility" link)
However, this will not cahnge the folder name that you see on the command prompt. There really isn't an easy way to change that; I would just create another user account (through the Start Menu's Control Panel) and log on with that.

i want a way to delete the glen account i am corrently on and then make an account with my name and my documents and settings. Also is there anyway to change the regestered to option in microsoft office?
Thanks

Go to Start / Run type in regedit then navigate to this
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion
Change registered owner to your name.
Change registered organisation to what ever you want.

"Also is there anyway to change the regestered to option in microsoft office?" Maybe, that's what you want. Don't know, which, for sure you have :-) Just click what I quoted, and see if it's what you want.
Good Luck,
