I've noticed that it sometimes takes a bit of time for the start menu and taskbar properties and other menu choices to come up when I right click on the start button. What would cause this?

If I understand your Question properly ,,, I believe there is a menu display timing tweak that can be applied ,,, But your question ,,, Right click,,, Seems a little vague I am unsure if We are talking about the same thing ,,, I have edited the registry to display almost immediately and like the way it is .
If that is what you mean ,,, I will look back later and see if you'd want to apply the tweak,,,, Also I have to find it again> LOL
MSI 845e mb 768 mb ram and a p4 2.4n running xp ,win 2000 advanced server and win 98 SE alot to learn and I know so little !!!!

if youre talking about right-click menu popup, try this tweak: press windows key + pause\break, go to advanced tab, then performance settings, in the visual effects tab click the custom option and unceck all the visual effects options for faster performance....

Sorry for the delay in getting back to the board. Thank you for your responses! Yes, I was refering to the right click pop up menu. I noticed about a month ago that sometimes my computer would take a bit longer to open the right click pop up menu when I clicked on the word 'Start' on the bottom left on the Task Bar. I'll try your tweak to see if it helps, but I was wondering why it would suddenly take a few seconds longer. I thought there might have been something that I had inadvertently done to cause the delay.
