Hi,

I have an XPS Dell Laptop and I just noticed that when I go to my Start Menu the left hand side is blacked out. What could have happened to create this? I was told by a computer friend/coworker that if could have deleted a file or something like, he also said it could have been infected with something to do this.

Also I of course have wireless dsl and sometimes it takes forever (or not) load a page. When I connect directly to the modem it seems to work fine. So I suppose it has something to do with my intetnal wireless card. What can I do to fix this?

Well do a virus scan on it. Make sure it doesn't have any viruses also make sure you are in safe mode. Also use ad-aware se and spybot to detect any malware on it. Also once done with that do a system restore, to restore it when you first got it. Make sure you have a antivirus program on it or viruses can run rampid all over your computer.
