Greetings! This is not so much a problem, as it is a "Huh, I Wonder Why..."I came across a little file that renames the xp start button. [http://www.geocities.com/startbtn/]. I used it several months ago,w/no problems. But recently I have tried it on 2 pc's= 1 XP Home, 1 Xp Pro. I am able to change the (stsrt) button text, but to only have it return to (start)text- whenever I am opening files or restart the pc's.I know, it's a little silly thing, but what is resetting it back? Thanks -ez

I have tried doing the same thing but in Win98. I don't know if this works in XP. What I did was using Ultraedit and modify explorer.exe(remember to back it up or else you will reinstall windows).
If you want try to search the web on How to hack the start button in XP.
