standby mode = no explorer

Comment:

This is really annoying... when I put my system into 'standby' mode, then return to hop on the internet later, explorer opens but it can't connect to the internet. I end up having to do a restart which then everything works fine... any ideas of what to try?

Just a stab in the dark: In Network Connections, right click the Connection icon, then see if there is an option to Reconnect or Connect.
