Hi, I recently installed xp on a pc. The installation went fine but I noticed that the "Standby" button which comes up with shutdown and restart options is distabled. It is there but can not be used. The computer screen also flickers a lot. Is it because I need to install the VGA drivers seperately.

So what about the disabled "Stand By" option. Thanks. Aki,

Standby might be disabled in your BIOS. Start your computer and press DEL or F2 to enter your BIOS. Check the Power menu options. Standby might be disabled by default.
