Comment:

In certain programs on my PC, including Media Player and MSN Messenger, when I move my mouse over any of the standard buttons (File, Edit etc), the areas where the word file, edit etc is written becomes white and when i move my mouse away, the boundary of the botton turns white as well. If the button is clicked, the whole thing goes white. However, it doesn't affect Internet Explorer at all. If the program is minimised, the white areas around the buttons disappear but reappear again if the mouse is hovered over them. It has been irritating me for a while now, and any help that can be given will be most appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunatly, increasing the virtual memory didn't do the trick. However, thinking about it, following an unsuccessful install of SP2 and then a re-install of SP1 to restablalise the system, theis problem started occuring. I have now done a successful install of SP2, yet the problem remains. Any ideas???
