i am trying to install sql server on windows xp pro, but each time i try to install it it keeps telling me that "a previous program installation created pending file operations on the installation machine. you must restart your pc before running setup." i have done that but the error remains. any ideas?

1. Open the Registry and navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager 2. Locate and delete any "PendingFileRenameOperations" values in the key. 3. Click "Yes" when prompted to delete. 5. Quit registry and rerun the software install
