Hi all,
My system is infected with the Aurora spyware/trojan. I have done all the scans and the usual stuff, but when it's detected and destroyed, it makes my system unbootable, as in i will always get the blue screen then reboot.
Now the only remedy is to choose the last good config that worked, but this brings back the Aurora thus not solving a thing.
I have done the normal disable restore/ use safe mode, but it's no good, so I'm stuck with it until i format.
What I don't like is a related program called "Winfixer" insisting on installing itself even when I choose no, or close the window. I've even ended the process in task manager, yet it continues to install no matter what i do. This is really insulting.
Is there another way i can stop the "winfixer" from installing itself or "break" the programs installation?
I have tried the suggestions listed here in C.N, but nothing works after removal.
many thanks :o)

turn off system restore
go into safe mode,F8,
empty temp folder,
empty temporary internet files~folder,
scan with adaware/spyware scanner,
scan with antivirus ,
manually remove any listed files that cant be removed by scanners,
empty trash,
using regedit~ search and remove files related to scans ,
check run and runonce directories in:
My Computer/HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/RunOnce...
look for nail.exe or other and remove
check msconfig and disable unknown files not needed,
also try rebooting in safe mode dos prompt, to rename any exe file that cant delete...
